The primary investigator or co-PI must be a periodontics resident or early-career periodontics faculty member with five or fewer years in academia at an accredited institution.

The award is to be used exclusively for regeneration research purposes and not to be used to replace support that would have normally been provided by the recipient’s institution. An individual may receive a maximum of two grants. Immediate family members of the AAP Foundation Board of Directors, officers, and selection committee members are not eligible to apply.
